Employers and EPA

You're in control

Are you an employer? Do you also have staff members undergoing apprenticeship training? If the answer to these questions is yes then keep reading. We actively encourage the link between employers and EPA Organisations for a few reasons. However, the most important reason is that this ensures you and your apprentice achieve success with this investment.

With this in mind, our team will work closely with you during the assessment elements. We will walk you throughout the entire EPA process. Prepare to Achieve helps you understand what EPA entails and what it means for your organisation. Finally, apprentices’ performance is always our top priority.

What do you need to know about End-Point Assessment?

End-Point Assessment is a critical part of a successful learning programme that should be completed by apprentices.

This is the final assessment for apprentices. The aim is to ensure that they have gained the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed by employers. Apprentices feel more supported when there is a clear connection between Employers and EPA Organisations.

Some key information relating to EPA

Employer Led

Employer led

Employer-led trailblazer groups have carried out the development of these standards. The overall aim is to support the government’s agenda of creating new apprenticeship opportunities. We are a part of reaching this goal by helping to facilitate 3 million new successful apprenticeships by the end of 2020!

Independent

Impartial assessment

The End-Point Assessment, is carried out by an independent organisation. Your training provider does not provide EPA for your apprentice. However, we work very closely with your chosen training provider to ensure success! Our goal is to effectively assess and help your apprentice to gain the knowledge required of their job role.

Assessment

Different methods of assessment

Different End-Point Assessment Organisations will assess apprentices in different ways. ‘Trialblazer’ groups have set-out various assessment options for apprentices. This will largely depend on the qualification that they are doing.

Transparent

No hidden costs

Costs for the EPA are included in the apprenticeship cost. Unlike other EPAOs, we won’t charge for resit fees. However, there are EPA Organisations who do charge additional fees to be paid by the employer.
